Changing Your Default Applications With Windows 10
There is a quick and easy way to change default apps in Windows 10.
Hit the start menu and type “Default Apps” (You can just start typing when the start menu is open)
Click on the “Default Apps” settings shortcut
Once you are in the settings you will see the popular default app categories:
Email
Maps
Music Player
Photo Viewer
Video Player
Web Browser
These are easily changed by clicking each one and choosing an application. But what about other types?
At the bottom you will find “Choose default applications by file type”
Click on “Choose default applications by file type”
Find the file type you want to change (.pdf for example)
Click on the current default program and change to the app you want.
Another way to change the default apps:
Right-click on the file you want to open
Hover over “Open With” to open the submenu then click “Choose another app”
Choose the app in the list and tick the box to set it as the default.
